This was one of the best beach vacations I have had. It has brought me back to VA. as we used to always go to Oak Island NC. Sorry North Carolina!! The house was wonderful and the location couldn't be beaten. I was amazed at the price. So reasonable for all the wonderful amenities and special touches that were supplied. All we had to do was enjoy!! The pictures are great, but when you walk in this well thought out design you will be even more impressed, and then when you start finding the "extras" your smile will just keep on growing. Let me tell you some of the surprise "extras" as I think they are impressive. A beach buggy with great beach/sand tires that will carry almost, if not everything with ease, a Weber gas grill (my husbands beach dream), beach chairs, beach towels... I have to say Thank you Lisa! Beach access was so great that comparing the online map to reality will have you dancing all the way to the water!! It is just ach beautiful and Lisa was great. She was right there anytime we needed her

Cute beach house
We had a great time in Va. Beach at this cute little house! We loved the back patio area that was very private and cozy! Loved walking to the beach for walks. This house was only a few blocks from the 64th street entrance to First Landing State Park which was our favorite spot on this trip! Owners were very accommodating to us!! We will definitely be back!

Great Place!
Very well appointed, cozy, well-located bungalow. Very fun back deck and lots of beach equipment. Responsive management. Would love to vacation here again!

Fantastic Beach House
Our stay was super! The house is laid out nicely with so many amenities! Lots of items to use at the beach as well! Take advantage of this lovely home because you won't regret it!!

NEW LISTING - BAREFEET RETREAT, located at 7707 Atlantic Avenue is new to the rental market. Just 270 steps to the beach, makes it easy to take a cup of coffee to watch the early morning sunrise! This part of the beach is also a well-known dolphin watching spot nearly year-round! Sit under a beach umbrella and watch the dolphins frolic or to watch the dolphin-watchers on the dolphin watching boats! Later you can catch the fireworks from the Oceanfront!
Barefeet Retreat offers 3 bedrooms (1 queen, 1 double bed and 2 twins) and 1.5 bathrooms indoors, along with an outdoor shower with changing area in the private fenced back yard. Fully stocked eat in kitchen (seats 6), while the deck and back yard have seating for 12 (table there also seats 6). The backyard is a peaceful and comfortable place to relax with new awning for shade, lovely plantings and whimsical art and provides plenty of room for entertaining. Gas grill provided for your use, along with a storage shed should you wish to bring your bikes. Also provided - boogie board and skim board, beach table and chairs, along with beach cart. (Racks for surfboards, SUPs and kayaks also provided in fenced backyard).
Plenty of local attraction brochures inside BAREFOOT RETREAT. Convenient to Edgar Cayce's ARE (just a few blocks away), Naval Bases and just 12 blocks from Ft Story (and the Cape Story Lighthouse). This location offers a quiet and quaint atmosphere, with the National Anthem playing at 8 am every day from Ft Story! Within a short drive you will find Restaurants galore, Virginia Marine Science Museum, ropes course, Putt-Putt Golf, movie theater, shopping, library, Rec Center, zoo, botanical garden, fishing, water park, go-carts, boardwalk, and the list goes on!! Like to hike or run? First Landing State Park trails are just a minute's away!
Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, Water Country USA and Busch Gardens are just a 45 minute drive. Take the Amtrak from Norfolk to Washington DC for the day.
