Great

Everything was perfect and we really enjoyed coming back to the place every night to relax and eat the last meal of the day and just hang out. We had everything that my wife and I needed to enjoy our anniversary!

Great House for our stay in Hilo!

We loved this house for our stay in the Hilo area. It was very easy to get in and out of the neighborhood to places we wanted to go see. Shauna was very helpful in any information we needed to have for the house. The beds were comfortable. We usually don't watch TV but having it allowed us to watch the Merrie Monarch Festival every night in comfort since we did not have tickets to see it in person in the Hot arena in town. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Wonderful home!

The house is well prepared from all perspectives: traveling, cooking, resting, swimming, etc., I feel the house was initially a vacation house to the owner, then extended to be a rental house. The host is very helpful. I felt bad by missing to say Hi to the housekeeper when we left the house. My son was so excited to check out the swimming gears. From snorkels, water shoes, noodles, surf boards, umbrellas, you name it! We highly recommend this place.

Excellent cottage.

Sorry for the very late review! We arrived here in October 2015. Our first trip to Hawaii. We found the cottage to be nice and secluded. It is a bit out of the way, but we didn't mind that. Beautiful landscaping around the property. We were amazed to find a lime tree growing on the property. (we are from Canada and this blew my mind!) This is a large, comfortable cottage with full kitchen and an attached 'Lanai' (extra room) with lots of space. Very well equipped. There was even the use of a BBQ if we wanted. There is no air conditioning however, so we were quite hot, especially the first day we arrived, but it was not so bad after that. And yes, the name 'Coqui' cottage is quite well suited! At night you can hear hundreds (thousands?) of the Coqui frogs singing all night! At first we were thinking that we wouldn't be able to sleep but you get used to it and we found it quite pleasing after a while. The cottage is close to Volcano National Park as well. The owners were not present at the time, but were easy to reach. They had a caretaker onsite as well during our stay. He lives on the property in an adjoining area. There is also free WiFi on site. We really enjoyed this place and I highly recommend! Thanks again!
