Superb Vacation

If you are looking for relaxation, fun and adventure all within 15 minutes, this property is for you. My husband and I just returned from a very peaceful trip, where we had the privilege to call this property home for a week. The unit looks exactly like what you see pictured and has everything you need to make yourself right at home. Multiple trips to the beach every day we stayed were an easy walk out the back door. A convenient hose is located by the back porch to minimize sandy floors; however, it’s the beach. (Sand on your toes is required, as I see it.) Our dogs loved the stay too, except the washing of paws with the hose. The property boasts a beautiful pool which we enjoyed after beach time, too. Just down the road you’ll find the Indian Pass Raw Bar which we highly recommend. If we would have tried that first, we may not have visited another restaurant. A bit further east, we enjoyed roaming the streets of Apalachicola after the best brunch ever at the Owl Café. To the west, you have access to groceries, other great restaurants and great shopping in Port St. Joe. Around another corner from the unit, we found Happy Ours whom outfitted us with a kayak and SUP for an afternoon of exploring the bay. A horseback ride at sunset where we strolled beside 2 dolphins was also part of our adventure. The porch off the master bedroom is where we started and ended our day. The view is lovely. We enjoyed watching the waves crash and people playing in the Money Bayou. Even though we did not fish, many people enjoyed fishing both the bayou and the ocean. One of our dogs loved rounding the edge of the bayou on the way to the beach, trying hard to catch a bird. The property owner is very helpful and answered all of our questions very timely. We had the best vacation ever and can’t wait to come back!

Great Escape, perfect for pets.

My Husband and I stayed at this Townhouse with our two dogs last week. It was perfect for us and our pets. I liked how there was no carpet in the unit and everything was clean and easy to keep clean from sand and pet hair. The view from the Master bedroom was beautiful, the bed was comfortable, and the master bathroom shower was really nice. Beach access was easy for us, the bayou was low so we were able to walk around it to get to the beach. The pool was nice, not crowded at all, at times we had the pool to ourselves. Cape Villas was a nice, quiet place. The beach was amazing, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We seen a lot of birds, fish, stingrays, crabs, and dolphins! Nothing to complain about with the unit or beach access. The only thing I could think to be aware of are the (Yellow flies) near the front of unit and by the street where we walked our two dogs. They bite and it hurts. So if you walk in the front near the road, trees, and shrubs be on the look out for them yellow flies, they're quick. I had got bitten 5 times on my legs, the first bite hurt really bad and it left a big red spot on my leg that lasted for 3 days. I rubbed some baking soda and vinegar on it and it cleared it up fast. Bring some good bug spray and you'll be fine. We enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave, but we'll be back! :)

Great Place

This is a nice end condo unit in one of twelve. The unit is set up and furnished well with two very comfortable large beds. There are two great balconies with one overlooking the Gulf. A small but nice pool if you do not feel like getting sandy for a change. Talking about beach access I really need to disagree with a previous reviewer that said there was not direct beach access, and had to walk out to the road for access. Yes there is a small river that runs in front of the condos between the beach and units. You can see on Google maps the river used to run more straight, now it does not. However it is only shin deep, most of the time if you are headed to the beach shin deep water for 10ft will not impede you. If you are going on an evening walk or morning run with intent to not get your feet wet, there is a sandy path right next to the stream that will get you to the beach proper all right behind the condo units. So it can be said the river is in the way. However "No direct beach access" is simply not true. We had a great time with adults, 3 kids, and gloriously happy dog and all the sandy beach time. Would certainly come back.

Beach Vacation

This is my second stay at Cape Villas and I can't say enough wonderful things about this little piece of paradise! I love the seclusion and quaintness of Port St. Joe. My husband loved fishing from the beach, he caught a lot of catfish and small black tip shark's. The dolphins where very active as well! :) Having dinner at the Indian Pass Raw Bar is a must!! The Sunset Grill is fantastic as well. Steve, the owner is very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to coming back next year!!
