The location was beautifully decorated and clean. I would definitely stay there again! With five kids (including three teens), the two golf carts were a must so that we could move at our own schedules.

Villa Lago 1961 (4 bed/4 bath with 2 golf carts)
We had a great vacation and the house was even nicer than the photos. The two golf carts were handy for trips to the beach, Grand Boulevard, or the Village shops & restaurants. The rental agency was easy to work with and provided an app with all the codes and instructions for the wifi and AV systems. We would certainly recommend this house and hope to return again

Spring Break at Villa Lago 1961
The home is a very nice property with lots of room and all the amenities required for a comfortable vacation. The 2 golf carts are a must because Sandestin is quite huge and the property is at least 2 miles from the beach! Using golf carts is much easier than driving around, as there is an underground cart path to cross an incredibly busy Highway 98. The green cart probably needs serviced as it's speed dwindles faster and you don't want to lose power far away from home base. The only frustrating part of the home was the cable TV setup that initially did not work and was quirky. But this home has by far the best TV's we've seen in a rental property!

We had a great family vacation and enjoyed our stay.
Unit was set up well and very clean. Comfortable beds and furniture. Tv's and Internet a little difficult but my son I law is a genius with electronics or we would have been in trouble

Disappointed
1 of the 2 golf carts in repair shop for almost the entire week, it broke after the first day and was then returned the day before we left. Had to call everyday and multiple times for an update. Super dirty

Excellent Service!
We had an issue with the air conditioner and one of the golf carts during our stay. The staff at My Vacation Haven was awesome in the handling of these issues. They were really quick to respond and explained everything they were doing to resolve the issues. I was very satisfied with their service throughout our two week stay. This is our 5th year staying in this community and we will definitely be back again next year.

Family Vacation
First let me say the rental is gorgeous and nicely appointed with all items you would need for a home away from home. This is my 4th time booking with MVH and it was easy but not without some minor hiccups. David, assisted me in booking 2 homes this summer. I didn't complete my booking via the website because I wanted to make sure I didn't make any mistakes, so I called and he completed my booking to then call me back days later to say the two homes I wanted were on different check-in schedules so we needed to change one. We did and that was that. Upon arriving to our unit we noticed the rental wasn't as clean as it should've been. Needed some vacuuming done downstairs, some crisper sheets on one of the beds upstairs, some dried sauce on some of the furniture that would've lifted with proper cleaning and none of the televisions upstairs worked at all. Now, I'd read the latest review on this unit just before we left to come and the TV situation was mentioned in one or more of them. I should've called ahead to ensure that issue had been taken care of but I didn't. I called the office and got a machine and Jessica returned my call very shortly after my message and sent housekeeping right over and it was nearly 8pm and maintenance came the next morning for the tv's but it required the actual cable company to come the day after that. Our stay was from July 1-8, and Im sure guests were turning over very quickly but I wanted to make the management aware as Im sure these things just happen sometime. From then on everything was smooth, we love the Villa Lago community, and the golf carts are a life saver with so many of us going in different directions. I will say it would've been even better to have received a follow up call or email apologizing for roughly three days of workers in and out, but that fact would not stop me from using MVH in the future. I also appreciate speedy response time when issues arise, I can appreciate righting wrongs in a timely manner.

Great House!
House was great. Clean and well decorated. Everything worked well within the house. Only issue was house rental stated (2 golf carts included), one main reason we rented this property. We arrived to one golf cart and no explanation until we called?>Disappointing mgmt. did not get out in front of this with a contact or solution? We did get an adjustment on price after negotiation. Felt there would have been no effort on their part, had we not called to complain or initiate a resolution? No ones fault the cart was broke; just disappointed it was not handled better.

3rd visit, okay stay not great
Ants everywhere and a broken gold cart I'm the garage. The golf cart issue was resolved but they knew it was broken before I arrived. Why did I have to deal with it?

Vacation 2017
We met 2 of our daughters and their families at the home and stayed a week. Had lots of fun. It was our second time there but in different rentals. We also referred John and Doris Nichols and Matt and Alicia Nichols to the same area and they were there In June. Every one has enjoyed. A few issues this last trip that we were disappointed in Our garage door opener and door did not work, nor the keypad and the maintenance people knew that from day 1 and never came to fix it all week. Also the TV in the upper family room has no power to the DVD player and would not work all week. Also the TV in the bunk bed room did not work. On the very last day we saw a huge **** roach, So glad we didn't see it earlier in the week. One other thing, the main level bedroom has no storage, drawers etc. We do not like to live out of a suit case.

Vacation 2017
This was a great location and the villa was nice overall. We had some issues with the golfcarts that were resolved for the most part. Unfortunately, one of them did not have headlights so we were unable to use that one at night which was a bit of an inconvenience, but did not take away from a our experience in general. The villa was quite accomodating for our crew of 10. The beds were particularly comfortable and there was more than enough "extras" to meet our needs. I would recommend this place to both family and friends in the future. We absolutely love coming here year after year!

Perfect Stay
Easy to get to the beach via the golf carts, plenty of space in this charming villa that is tastefully done. The Baytowne Wharf is a fun golf cart ride away. We already looked to rebook this summer and it's all booked up!- no surprise but disappointing for us. We will be back for sure.

New years familygetaway
We chose this property. Because of the location as we have stayed in other units in this subdivision. We chose this particular home because of the Den upstairs and one downstairs for the women and men two separate. ladies can watch movies the men can watch the ball games. The overall condition of the home was very well-maintained and stocked. We would recommend this property to another guest looking for a nice clean place to stay with nice amenities. I also highly recommend the vacation rental company as we have used them before. We come to the San Destin Resort 3 to 4 times a year and have had nothing but great experiences with this company. The only issues that come to mind are number one most of the pillows have feathers not good for allergies as a few of us had to get rid of the pillows and use other ones. Number two when we first checked in it smelt like A pet throughout the home maybe the owners were there previously and had a pet not sure but I could definitely smell a pet with spray cleaner. The smell did subside over the duration of our stay. Number three check out is at 10 AM but a little after 9 o’clock the lock codes changed and we were not checked out yet and could not get back into the home while we were loading up our vehicles to leave. But overall very satisfied with the home and very satisfied with the property management company. We will be using them again in the future. And would highly recommend this home to someone else

Beautiful Unit!
Overall a very nice unit with two golf carts. We had a problem with the tv's in the upstairs rooms not working, but overall a great place to stay.
