Ridgeview Suite at Stony Creek Depot

Details

Home Description

The building (originally a pub for local quarry workers) was built in the late 1800s, with the upper residence added in the 1930s. We've renovated the suite (2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths) with modern comforts while retaining much of the original charm. The interior design aesthetic is a blend of new and funky vintage finds, carefully chosen to be age and gender neutral. With a large bright kitchen, office/library, wet-bar and laundry room, this suite offers many more amenities than a comparably priced B&B or hotel room in Branford.

It's a perfect space for family vacations, bridal parties, corporate and academic professionals who seek fully furnished, inclusive utilities and WiFi.

The Amazing Stay At Stony Creek Depot

Our stay at Stony Creek was amazing and very relaxing. We had the opportunity to bring our son for his college orientation and during this trip we added a few days for a short mini family vacation. The home that Barbra and her husband designed would totally leave you speechless with the decor and comfort. One other great addition is that this home has two different units. Meaning that on the second floor you have another two bedroom unit that we also had the chance to see during our visit. The level of attention and customer exceeds first class. Just a few short minutes up the street is a great small beach by the marina and also a great level hike on the old Trolley line. Great photo ops or a nice cardio run on the nature trail. After you see how well the home has been decorated if you go browse the store downstairs Barbara has some amazing items to do that makeover project. The location of the home is also in a great location to stores and some really excellent eateries. You’re also close to all of the major highways but the location is super private and very quiet. Limited car traffic during the regular business hours but in the evening as you sit on the deck the traffic is a very minimum. We plan to stay at this lovely home when we take trips to visit our son in school and even for a great time away from our busy schedules. Our family was very pleased and looking forward to our next trip to Stony Creek Station. Thanks, The Shockley's

Homey, warm and so comfortable.

The pictures on the web site don't do this lovely apartment justice. If you want to be apart of an Eastern shore town, choose this rental. I would recommend, coming before Memorial Weekend, as this little town fills up quickly. Barb and her husband are amazing. They have put so much work into the building, it was indeed a labor of love. Do take the Thimble Island boat ride to see the amazing homes on these tiny but beautiful islands. Do go to Rosso Vino for dinner one night.......great food/service and not overly priced. We will be out this way in 2019 and will be sure to stay here. Thank you Barb for everything............you are such a nice person.
