Very comfortable and relaxing vacation rental
Pennington's Lair is a beautiful home with a very short, and beautiful drive into Estes Park. The proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park was great for our many hikes, and for our favorite activity of viewing the wildlife. The house was very well equipped with everything you could need. The master bedroom Jacuzzi tub was perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking. The layout of the house is very open and inviting. The natural spring down the road was our favorite part, .25 cents per gallon container you fill. We did that daily, best water ever!! Very comfortable and relaxing vacation rental, would highly recommend.

A fantastic experience
We traveled with as a party of 5 adults and stayed 8 nights at Pennington's Lair...I can completely recommend both the cabin itself and also Pinebrook Vacation Rentals for providing us with an excellent experience. The kitchen is completely stocked with all necessary cooking items and the entire cabin has been updated and well maintained. We enjoyed cooking breakfast every morning and grilling on the deck at night after spending the day exploring RMNP, Estes Park, Allenspark with easy drives. Three good size bedrooms provided more than enough space along with two full baths and a large great room and eating areas. While there are other cabins in the area pine trees block out everything the meadow around the house and the stony peaks of the nearest hills and mountains. Make sure to visit the antique store in Allenspark and the galleries that are minutes away on Hwy 7...great local folks that really made you feel special!

Beautiful, bright cabin
The biggest plus about this cabin is the open living room area with huge windows and beautiful trees surrounding it. We had some friends come and visit, and there was plenty of room in the living area and the deck. Just a lovely cabin...

About The Area
On the doorstep of the Rocky Mountain National Park, our cabins/vacation homes are located in one of the most beautiful areas of Colorado boasting stunning scenery, abundant wildlife and a wide choice of activities to suit everyone's personality and lifestyle.
Estes Park is a peaceful mountain town, nestled in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. There you will find restaurants, galleries, shops and many other activities to make your vacation memorable.
It offers two main entrances into the National Park. Another entrance at Wild Basin is 15 miles from Estes Park along the scenic Peak to Peak Hwy.
In the winter, the Park offers snowshoeing, cross country and backcountry skiing, ice climbing, to name just a few of the activities. In the summer it is a hiker’s paradise with 360 miles of trails leading to beautiful waterfalls, lakes and stunning mountain scenes. You can also fly fish, mountain climb or simply drive the Park’s roads and view spectacular scenery. Longs Peak, the highest peak in the area, attracts visitors all year round and is easily accessible.
Located just 45 miles from Estes Park along the Peak to Peak Hwy, is the Indian Peaks Wilderness area on 76,486 acres with 110 miles of trails and over 50 lakes. We think you'll agree that this is an amazing and unforgettable place to vacation!
