The mature estate occupies 24 acres and is set in luscious groves of orange, almond and olive trees. The Quinta nestles within a picturesque river valley that overlooks tranquil farmland towards Pera and the Atlantic Ocean. Nearby for the earnest golfer is the championship ocean fronted golf course at Salgados and also the wetlands nature reserve which is home to turtles, flamingoes and other exotic birds.
The Quinta has two swimming pools. The pool pictured below is just a minutes stroll from our villa and is set within beautiful gardens filled with tropical flowers and palm trees. There is also an additional larger pool with a separate shallow end for small children set adjacent to the pool bar lower down the river valley. The pool bar is open from late morning till evening and serves everything from a lazy brunch to light lunch and hosts evening barbeques in the summer.
Activities are in abundance such as tennis , mini golf, petanque, table tennis and a children's play area with its own paddling pool. The Quinta has its own stables and horse rides to the beach can be arranged as well as carriage rides to nearby picturesque villages.. The original farmhouse with exposed beams and original features is home to a restaurant and cocktail bar which is open in the evening with take away menu available.
