The Space
Lovely chalet (126 square metres), with garden and pool and spectacular views. It is in the most beautiful setting with the most amazing views of the valley below and the surrounding mountains. The house has huge floor to ceiling windows allowing lots of light and gorgeous views. It is tastefully decorated and sheets and towels are supplied. The place is secluded and peaceful yet within easy reach of all amenities.
The downstairs area is open plan kitchen/living room. Flat screen TV, cooker, large fridge, washing machine, microwave, bathroom with bath and shower. Upstairs two bedrooms, one room with double bed and two singles , this room is very large -9m x 5m. Second bedroom has two single beds. Both bedrooms have lovely views of garden, pool and mountains. There is also a cot available. Bathroom with shower, next to the bedrooms. Another bathroom is on the ground floor with full size bath and shower.
Spacious porch and terrace overlooking valley. We have various tropical plants and fruit trees - nectarine, fig, apple, grape, pomegranate. I am a keen gardener so everything is well cared for. There is an outside bathroom (toilet and sink).
There are two mountain bikes available for your use.
Guest Access
The swimming pool (private) is in operation from May to end of September. Daily temperatures tend to be 25-35 degrees and above during this period. Private parking for several cars.
Interaction with Guests
We can give any information about the area here in Quentar or Granada if required, happy to answer all questions. Both English and Spanish are spoken. A folder of information is also in the house.
The Neighbourhood
Quentar is a pretty little mountain village, centuries old, nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. If you enjoy peace and quiet and being surround by nature, this is the place for you. There are many tracks and paths around here, for example there is a river that runs through the valley just below us where walkers and joggers alike go in the cooler hours. The village also boasts a massive 17th century church, where services are held every Friday.
There is also a man made lake near here where people go to swim or canoe in summer and enjoy the fine views.
Alternatively, there is a fantastic waterpark nearby, Aquaola, (9 km) for a family fun day out, in a picturesque setting with mountain views, open air restaurant and bar (open from mid July)
There are two main bars serving food nearby and there is also a very good restaurant about three km away.
The village is popular in winter with skiers who want to visit the Sierra Nevada ski station or who just want to enjoy the snow, (40 minutes by car).

Getting Around
There is a regular bus service into Granada which is very cheap.(1.70 euro or 1.10 with card). Granada is 25 minutes away by bus.
Granada airport is 30 mins. drive away. We can arrange taxi pick up for you from Granada airport (45 euros). Malaga airport 90 mins.
I can give you any advice regarding Granada and the Alhambra Palace.
Other Things to Note
We have several chickens , so you can enjoy fresh eggs daily. Also two sweet, friendly cats.
