First you are very close to the city, within walking distance of vibrant downtown. Everything you need like restaurants, cafes, museums, cinemas is nearby. Including the best shopping street in the Netherlands: Haarlemmerstraat and the newest Filmmuseum: 'Eye'! The latter is accessible by a ferry that leaves from a jetty almost besides the boat. The famous Anna Frank house and 'Stedelijk museum' are only 20 minutes away.
On the other hand you have the peace and tranquility. And when you are relaxing inside this warm and cosey houseboat, or in summer, outside on deck, you can really enjoy the panoramic view, the water, the beautiful warehouses and the impressive Dutc skies; a very different world indeed.
The new apartment is located in the original captain's residence of the boat 'Christina' and is suitable for 2-4 persons.
It is fully independent with its own entrance. All rooms do have central heating. The apartment comprises a sitting room with comfortable sofa and a personal, stylish decor. A fresh bunch of flowers is a regular feature. In addition, there is also a computer with internet and Wifi present.
In the well equipped kitchen you will find a Magimix Nespresso machine with free capsules and kettle with various blends of tea.
The bedroom with the double bed, Tv and Dvd is in the back of the ship. It is a space with a special appearance because the striking round shape of the ship is recognizable and its wooden cabinetwork. Above all you'll enjoy the romantic atmosphere. In the 2nd bedroom there are two 1-person beds.
The bathroom has a shower and a toilet.
The location is central, in the Houtman Quarter, Centre Amsterdam, almost adjacent to Central Station (trams, buses, trains, ferries, tour boats) and close to the A10 ring road of Amsterdam. Located at the Ij, the great river that separates the inner city of Amsterdam North.
Paid parking in a parking place 50m away, or at Sloterdijk Station or 'Bos en Lommer'', both P + R parking lots, where you can park cheaper for 96 hours and get a public transport smartcard to get to and from the Centre.
