Set in a beautiful garden on a private, gated estate, this property more than exceeded our expectations. It was clean, very well equipped and comfortable for the five adults in our group. It met every part of the description in the listing and then some. Andrea, the owner, was a gracious host. He met us when we arrived and showed us around the property and how to use all the appliances and features, like Wi-Fi. He left a bottle of wine and a bowl of strawberries as a welcome gift. He also gave us several recommendations for dinner

A perfect place to stay in Siena
My parents (86 and 82), two sisters and I stayed here for 9 days in April and could not have been happier. The villa is located just outside of the city walls and the Porta Romana gate. It's convenient to walk (many hills, but if you're on vacation there's no hurry!) into Siena or you can take the bus at the end of the street. Taxis are also plentiful. The setting is perfect because it is quiet and serene, yet very close to the hustle and bustle of the city. The villa is extremely clean and modern. Beds are comfortable, well laid-out kitchen and nice living room. Wireless works pretty well. The grounds are nice and we were lucky enough to have good weather to eat outdoors for breakfast and enjoy wine& appetizers on the outside terrace. Didn't use the pool -- too cool, but it looks like it'd be refreshing on a hot summer day. Andrea was extremely helpful with directions, restaurants and any other tips that were needed. Small grocery store was at the end of the street with limited hours. It was a lot of fun trying out the various bakeries, pastry shops and markets. Siena was a wonderful place to base for drives into the countryside -- so many fantastic towns and wineries to visit. Keep in mind you cannot drive into Siena -- it's a limited traffic zone. The same goes for Florence. We found it easiest to take the bus to Florence as well and save the car for the smaller towns. I would highly recommend this villa and we certainly hope to come back again for another visit since the location was terrific and we loved the city of Siena.

We Loved This Property!
We (2 couples) stayed at this lovely private estate for a week in Sept 2012. The 2-storey house was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we required during our stay. The beds and linens were excellent and the weather allowed us to sleep with the windows open, enjoying the lovely country air. It was a perfect house for 2 couples. Our host met us on our arrival, gave us a tour and explained how to use the appliances. There was also a booklet we could refer to if we couldn't remember everything. We were given a map of Siena with an explanation on how to find the large Co op grocery store. When we later discovered a couple of basic items missed by the housekeeper, our host arrived immediately with a supply for us. We didn't have a phone but stayed in touch by email and it worked well. Our every need was met. The couple who own the property are lovely people. The location was perfect because we seldom needed our car. We could walk into Siena for groceries and dining out. As is the case in all of Tuscany, the walking involves some fairly steep hills, but it was great to be able to get into the city easily while residing in a lovely country setting. The house is set within a gated, family estate, on acres of olive trees - it's very quiet and peaceful. We were even given a sample of the lovely olive oil they produce from those trees. The scenery from our windows and patio was amazing. The fact that we could easily dine in, as well as out, in Siena was a great bonus. We could enjoy some wine at dinner without worrying about driving home. We enjoyed the pool and felt right at home and very welcome on this lovely property. If we ever have the opportunity to visit Siena again, we will stay here for sure. Thank you Andrea and Elisabetta for a memorable vacation with our friends at "Le Tortore". We had a wonderful time.

The Best of Both Worlds
A beautiful villa in a beautiful setting. We found the villa light and spacious, and immaculately presented. This villa has everything, AC, beautiful swimming pool, tennis court, well stocked and lovely views. Holidays in Siena
We, all family, appreciated the place and the owners who welcomed us. This place is 10 mn footstep to piazza del campo. This rental place is marvelous, top of the hill with hundred olive's trees and swimming pool useful to fresh up. The place to be in Siena Easy to getaway to discover Tuskany ! View on Siena and arounds is also beautiful I recommend

The Villa (5 beds) is located in the countryside of Siena, approximately 15 minutes walk from the famous 'Piazza del Campo' in Siena. It is located atop a hill, together with a swimming pool and tennis court, offers splendid views over the city and surrounding countryside. It is nestled in a large family estate, with avenues of cypress trees, gardens, olive trees, where it is not unusual to see deer, pheasants and even rabbits.
The villa, which overlooks an old brick yard, offering: large porch furnished with sofa and armchairs and a table for outdoor dining, air conditioning, wireless Internet, safes, DVD, satellite TV, CD player, radio, fireplace , dishwasher, oven and microwave, barbecue, washing machine, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, baby cot. Supermarket and bus stop at about 50 m. Not require a car.
