It is the embodiment of the life-long dream of an environmental activist and artisan carpenter, who constructed the majority of the buildings literally on his own, on an undiscovered corner of the Aegean. Situated in south Evia, it is a mere 1 1/2 hours from Athens International Airport, offering a unique combination of easy accessibility and privacy.
The villa consists of a total of 6 buildings. There are five bedrooms, each with its own amazingly unique character (all en-suite, with their own cooling fan systems, portable air-conditioning units, own fireplace and under-floor heating for the winter months). The two master bedrooms are in autonomous buildings, complete with living rooms, dining areas, kitchens and studies. The additional three bedrooms are essentially their own buildings, each one independent from the other, and entirely self-sufficient. The estate also retains domestic help/cooks, who take care of the estate and any need that you might have.
The outdoor areas are the epicenter of life in the summer months, and have been designed accordingly: a large terrace with clear views of the Aegean's crystal clear waters (to which a path leads); two al fresco dining areas, plus a stone barbecue and traditional Greek bread oven; tennis and basketball courts; an outdoor four-poster bed and, of course, the sea water swimming pool.
The whole villa is hand-built with traditional stone and wood, free from non-eco friendly building materials such as plastic, making their almost complete absence inspirationaly evident. The entirety of the construction, from indoor to outdoor, is bathed in unique artifacts, eccentric details, and even secret passages, making the exploration of the estate an amazing experience in and of itself.
