Since the opening of the Peak to Peak gondola will mean that guests in Taluswood can access the skiing on Blackcomb just as easily as if they were staying in Upper Village, we expect that the popularity of this area will increase even more.
If your ideal Whistler accommodation includes a spacious,luxury home with a mountain cabin feeling about it, this could be the one for you. Taluswood 3 is an especially fine example of a Taluswood property, with its peeled log interior, large living/entertainment room with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, cutting-edge kitchen, spacious dining area, high-end bathrooms and a reassuring solidity and quality about it.
Entrance is on the main floor, which has a private covered parking stall as well as a private single car garage. This leads into the hallway which offers plenty of storage space for skis, boards and ski clothing, and from here into the large living room. Two sofas and a leather armchair surround the stone wood-burning fireplace and a large LCD television is also available for apres-ski entertainment if you are staying home.
To the left is the oversized dining table in its own alcove, and next to that is the gourmet kitchen, which features granite counters, all stainless steel appliances and handmade wooden cabinetry. This level also has a guest bathroom.
Stairs lead up from the entranceway to a small loft/office area and thence to master bedroom, which has a king bed, gas fireplace and its own TV, as well as a large ensuite bathroom with bathtub, separate shower stall, walk-in closet and two sinks mounted on the long granite counter down one side of the room.
Downstairs from the entrance hall are 3 further bedrooms. One has queen bed and ensuite bathroom; the other two share the third full bathroom. 0ne room has 2 twin beds and one has 2 bunk beds. The private hot tub is also accessed from this level.
